meet lori

Hi, I'm Lori

I took my first yoga class in 2002 and instantly fell in love. I immediately signed up for a 14-month Iyengar-based teacher training and quickly learned that there was so much more to this practice than becoming flexible. The mental, emotional, and spiritual gifts were beyond anything I ever expected. I began teaching in 2004 and have never stopped. Teaching is who I am. It’s what I do. And I’m positive it is a God-given gift I was meant to share with the world.

While I’ve studied a variety of yoga styles, my background is mostly steeped in Anusara yoga, having studied with Amy Ippoliti since 2008. I was a sponge for years.. soaking up trainings, yoga therapy, retreats, workshops, and festivals. I’ve proudly been called a yoga nerd by my peers.

We all have that one thing that lights us up...

Mine has been yoga since the day it found me.

Today I teach a blend of everything I’ve learned over the years. My classes are somewhat structured, very thoughtful, and always fun. My style is an alignment-based flow that is upbeat, inviting, and thought-provoking.

You can count on a lively playlist (that you will probably want me to share), intelligent sequencing, individual attention, and a relatable message that tends to hit home.

No two classes are ever the same, but you will always leave feeling lighter and brighter.

I pride myself on being able to teach to every level within the same class framework so that each student can have a customized experience within their own practice.

In every class, you’ll hear inspiration that speaks to the full spectrum of what it means to be alive — our struggles, our joys, our highs, our lows. The reminders that we’re all in this together.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll likely find me at home on my 18-acre ranchette in Granbury, Texas surrounded by a small menagerie of animals, soaking in the quiet beauty of ranch life.

I have two grown children that I still love to nag, and a grandbaby that I absolutely can’t get enough of. I’ve moved more times than I can count and have reinvented myself in many seasons of life, but one thing has remained constant.. my love for gathering people, building community, and saying “yes” to life with an open heart.

“We’re all just walking each other home.”

My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is simple. Yoga is a physical practice that creates strength, flexibility, and spaciousness in the body while leading us toward greater awareness, self-acceptance, and a deeper relationship with ourselves.

Through this work we gain confidence, emotional stability, mental clarity, and ultimately peace. And somewhere along the way we soften — becoming more kind and compassionate toward ourselves and others.

Yoga brings us back to the truth of who we are.
A return to wholeness. A homecoming.

But this practice also asks something of us. Yoga can be confronting because it invites us to come face to face with ourselves.. no hiding, no deflecting, no projecting. Real change requires courage. It asks us to take responsibility for the direction our life is moving and to let go of the excuses that keep us stuck.

Through stillness, reflection, and movement, we begin to hear the whisperings of our heart. We gain clarity, confidence, and the courage to make the changes we’ve been putting off. The work is not always easy, but the rewards are limitless. Yoga has the power to bring us back to ourselves, help us align with what truly matters, and guide us toward the highest and best version of who we are meant to be.

Come for the physical practice.
Stay for the transformation.
